Live

In addition to the online session guitar track recording I do a lot of live work as a guitarist and bandleader. My playing work ranges from artist accompaniment, acoustic duos, and live original band work to wedding and some of the UK’s top party bands. I’m flexible musically and also in performance style – from sophisticated acoustic guitar accompaniment to jumping around like a fool – love it all! I’m a quick learner and have a huge repertoire so whether it’s filling out a power trio, providing solo acoustic accompaniment with looper pedal, or playing specific electric guitar parts (and sounds) in a full band with click track, it’s all good. I regularly MD/bandlead.

Venues and clients include Microsoft, Abel & Cole, the Gherkin, Sydney Opera House, 5* London hotels, Twickenham Stadium, Unilever, BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, the British Army, offices of the major labels in New York, Battersea Power Station, Alton Towers Hotel, Grosvenor House, The Savoy, Madrid Fashion Week, Alexandra Palace, and about a hundred castles, stately homes and student unions.

Function and party bands I play with include CandyAmp (Madhen), Apres Ski, Fake Tan, and The Amp Band among others.

For many years I was a member of The RockPins, one of Kent’s leading rock/indie trios. I started MonkeySelfie who are a great live party band performing at wedding and corporate events playing modern pop, electro and rock. It’s a lot of fun and we’ve come up with some unique mashup and medleys. I also programmed a nice light show.

For a few years now I’ve also been playing acoustic guitar in Java Duo. We have some Piccadilly hotel residencies and now manage the live music entertainment in one of them. We’ve also played some really cool venues, including an Orient Express train! I also play regularly for Virgin/Capitol artist Tallia Storm – a heady mix of original jazz-infused pop, soul, and EDM, reduced to one acoustic guitar – always fun.

I’m super versatile and have a huge repertoire and great sounding gear. I sing BVs, and can even run a PA system.
